Osten lze klasifikovat jako Neorenesanční antikvu. Ovlivněno bylo převážně Anglickými "Old-styles" u kterých se běžně objevují nakolněné serify podobné ostnům. Je dostupné ve dvou stylech s rozdílnou střední výškou mínusek umožňující jeho užití jak v nadpisech, tak sazbě.
Osten can be classified as a neo-renaissance Serif. Influenced by English "Old-styles" with its slanted serifs similar to thorns. Its is available in to styles, both having different x-height making it possible to use Osten in both, titles and regular type-setting.
